The Department of Information Technology, Government of Manipur, in collaboration with NIC, has implemented e-Office to enhance efficiency and transparency in governance.

Launched on 8th September 2020 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, e-Office was further expanded across the state by Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah on 27th December 2020. It is now operational in all state government departments, including the Governor’s Office, Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Cabinet Ministers’ offices, District Administrations, Police, Forest Department, and various Directorates and Agencies.

Key Achievements

  • 3640+ government employees enrolled and 170 departments, directorates, PSUs, societies, and undertakings onboarded.
  • Awarded the Chief Minister’s Award for Good Governance (2021) and 20th CSI SIG e-Governance Award (2022) by the Computer Society of India.

Extension to Educational Institutes & Universities

e-Office has now been extended to educational institutions, ensuring transparent and fully digitized operations. The latest software version 7.3.10 supports 1000+ users and includes colleges and universities. A ‘Train the Trainer’ program is underway at NIC HQ, New Delhi, to enhance system adoption.

This initiative marks a significant step towards a paperless, efficient, and accountable administration in both government and education sectors.
